Listen now | Kit Kowalski and Edie Wyatt talk about the world of sex and gender from a gender-critical perspective, not just the culture war, but law, policy, activism, feminism and all the nonsense.
You've spoken sensibly about how permissive parenting, the inability of parents to say 'no' to their children, often does more harm than good. But some of the harms of according adolescence a hallowed status seems to have flown under the GC radar ('hormones... changing bodies.... it's difficult for teenagers... it's traumatic') . Someone needs to point out that homo sapiens, not to mention the rest of the animal kingdom, has been going through adolescence without damage for at least 100,000 years and that up until the late 20th century being a teenager wasn't even a thing; rather, it was the norm for people, by their late teens, to be shouldering what we now consider to be adult responsibilities (i.e marriage with children and a full-time job). Setting aside cases of genuine trauma, instead of mummy and a team of psychologists, some real challenges, responsibilities and hardship, would probably be just the thing to get the minds of the current generation off their pronouns.
